Clear One Orlando February Tournament

ClearOne’s first tournament of the new year for Feb 16th and 17th.

Due to popular demand we have added the following additional event to be played after the men’s and women’s doubles events played on Sunday Feb 17th.

    Unisex 80+ Doubles Event (like we had in our September 2012 tournament).
    The event will have the same structure (Levels A,B,C,D) and prizes as the other events.
    A team can be made up of 2 men, or 2 women, or 1 man and 1 woman.
    The combined age of the 2 participants must be 80 or greater.
Also, regarding the Online Registration  –
    If you do not already have a Login Account
        Choose ‘sign up’ in the upper right corner.
        Enter a username
        Enter a password
        Enter your email
        Enter your personal information – if you were born or raised in a country other than the U.S. feel free to put that country in the country field.
    Proceed with the ‘Online Entry’.
    When you get to step 6 ‘Online Payment’ you can click on ‘Close’ and deal with payment at a later date.

2012 Florida International Senior Games & State Championships

Sign up now for the Florida State Championship tournament!  Here are the details:

EVENT: 2012 Florida International Senior Games & State Championships, the 21st Annual Games, is an Olympic-style competition for athletes age 50 and over.  The Florida Senior Games is a program of Florida Sports, a division of Enterprise Florida, Inc., which serves as the state’s lead organization in promoting and developing Florida’s Sports Industry.

Date: Sunday December 2nd, 2012

Location: Kelly Recreation Center, Lakeland

Registration: visit  Registration is available in a variety of ways with the easiest being online registration.  Forms are available to download, print out and send back to the Florida Sports Foundation.

Miami Pan Am 2012 Save the date

Hey All!  This year we’re trying to get planning started and informing people as soon as we can about our big annual tournament.  That’s right!  The Pan Am is back!  Mark your calendars from October 31st to November 3rd.  Come talk to us if you’re interested in helping out either as a sponsor as a volunteer, we’d love to hear from you.

Announcing the Florida Senior Games!

It’s been a whirlwind week at Shula’s.  We’ve welcomed players from all over, from Australia to the Czech Republic, and many places in between.  They came to compete and they did not disappoint.

It’s sad to say goodbye to all the competitors and excitement, but a new tournament is on the horizon:  The Florida Senior Games State Championships Badminton Tournament!  It’s coming up this December the 11th and open to anyone who is 50 or older.  Click the link above to download the pdf with all the details.


XIII Bill Graham Miami International

The “Pan-Am”, the biggest tournament for the FBA, and indeed the region is coming up fast.  This exciting tournament sports a prize purse of $5,000!  The deadline for sign-ups is three weeks away.  We are still looking for sponsors and also for volunteers.  There’s no better way to get closer to the action than volunteering.  You can access the main page for the tournament by clicking here.

Please participate in at least one event and make this tournament a success.
There is a new event “Team Fun Event” that you can try if you just want to get the feel of the tournament without the stress!  Be sure to mail me the fees+entry form to reach me by Nov 17. You can also pay at College Park front desk in person.  Check website for final draws on Nov 18.
